CAUTION WHEN USING YOUR ENAMELED CAST IRON SKILLET:
The handle of your Skillet may become extremely hot. Use a mitt or thick cloth to handle your Skillet and use a trivet to protect your counter tops. Your Skillet is very versatile and can be used with a wide range of heat sources including electric, gas, induction, grill, oven and glass. Oven and broiler safe up to 450° F. Do not use in the microwave. Always lift the pan when moving it. Do not slide it across your cooking surface. Particularly with new cookware, food may stick to the surface, so use a little extra oil or butter while cooking until the Skillet has built up enough seasoning. Allow the pan to gradually heat up for best results. Most cooking can be done over medium or low heat with a preheated pan. Do not preheat your Skillet over high heat and then reduce the heat for cooking, as it may overcook your food, although for grilling and searing properly, it is important to preheat the Skillet over medium heat. Use heat resistant utensils such as metal, wood, silicone or heat resistant nylon. If using metal tools, take care not to scrape the cooking surface or exterior enamel coating. With extended use, the enamel coating may become discolored. This will not affect the performance of your Skillet.
